4 Weeks on Christian Habits
Our habits matter. They matter to God and they shape who we are becoming. But for whatever reason, our habits don’t always line up with what we claim to believe. This course is a chance to start new or rediscover old practices of connecting with God. We talk about spending “quiet time with God”, “personal devotions”, or maybe we sing the old Sunday school song “read your bible, pray everyday, and you’ll grow grow grow” but how do we actually do those things? What does that actually look like?
This course is for people who want to take a step in their devotional habits with God. Maybe you have never had habits of prayer and scripture reading and have no idea how to start. Maybe the pandemic disrupted all your habits and you want to start fresh. Maybe it’s just time to get back to basics. We’ll introduce some basic spiritual disciplines, give us time to practice them, and then move to smaller groups where we’ll reflect together on that discipline, share our own experiences, and talk about how we have tried to practice the last week’s discipline ourselves.
Join us for 4 Mondays, starting April 17th, from 7-8:30pm. To register, email Pastor Nathan (nmartin@pdac-cma.com) or sign up at the Welcome Centre.
