The Bible Tells Me So

In 1 Corinthians 15, Paul describes the gospel as unfolding in accordance with Scripture. What he means is that the good news about Jesus is not just a story about something that happened, it is a biblically based message. We often use the word biblical to describe things that we think are consistent with proper Christian faith and practice. We talk about “biblical teaching,” or “biblical principles,” or “biblical values.” But the Bible is a long and diverse collection that came together over centuries, even millennia. In it we find the traditional stories of ancient peoples, prophecies, worship songs, grand poems, life advice, written correspondence, and apocalyptic visions, to name a few. How can we bring all of it together into something we could say was “biblical”?

In this 8 week seminar we will take a grand tour through the Bible to see how it all fits together and appreciate the need for the whole Bible in making sense of the gospel.

Everyone is welcome to participate Sunday mornings.
